FAQS
Here Are Some Frequently Asked Questions
We select and use timber from our hand picked sustainable forestry companies who manage there forests in a responsible way. This means when a tree is cut down to be milled into timber then another tree is planted in its place, this helps with the replenishment of trees to limit the damage to the surrounding environment.
All the below timbers mentioned are just a few samples of what we use. Please get in touch to discuss more timber options to suit your project.
English oak
European oak
American oak
American black walnut
All beautiful in their own way giving a classic but elegant look to your project.
If you’re looking at a painted finish to your project, we can use materials such as MDF which is a good stable product which will achieve a very good paint finish.
We also use an American hardwood called poplar, also known as tulip wood. This timber takes to paint brilliantly, it’s a very stable hardwood, once machined there is very little, if any, movement and doesn’t release or draw in moisture. This timber a cabinet makers dream and is used worldwide in joinery.
